With the holidays swallowing up everybody’s time followed by the January recovery period, one of the new year’s early signs that North Texas fundraising is returning to the scene is Dallas CASA Young Professionals’ CASAblanca.
This year is no different from the past, with 2023 CASAblanca Co-Chairs Anuka Dhakal, Brooke Donelson and Melissa Wong announcing the night of partying will take place on Saturday, February 4, at The Hall on Dragon.

If you’re expecting a sit-down dinner and a presentation by some expert, think again. This one is strictly cocktailing and casino games (i.e., blackjack, craps, poker and a spinning roulette wheel). Thanks to The Special Edition providing the music of the night, it will be a perfect time to hit the dance floor and show off those adorable new flirty dresses and sparklers that Santa dropped off.

And while the Young Professionals are made up of the under 40 set, CASAblanca is open to almost anyone of the legal age for imbibing.
With all proceeds benefiting Dallas CASA’s mission to advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect and are living in the protective care of the state, the following sponsors are already on board:
- Entertainment sponsor: Lone Star Cadillac
- Royal Flush: Christine and Jonathan Bassham and Seven Cities Foundation and Bailey Thompson;
- Cup Sponsor: Sidley Austin LLP;
- Koozie Sponsor: Greenberg Traurig;
- Napkins Sponsor: Mai Plumbing Company;
- Straight Flush: Ad Pages Solutions, Edelman Global Advisory and R&B Roofing;
- Full House: Eta Sigma Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta/Ella Parlor, Claire Dornak and Matt Lewis and Raising Cane’s
So, as soon as you have your sponsorships and/or tickets locked down, make reservations at your favorite restaurant for dinner and start picking out your outfit for a fun-raising night.
