As the Full Moon looked like it had been plucked from Central Casting Thursday night, North Texas art lovers had the ideal spot to celebrate the Business Council For The Arts‘ 2024 Obelisk Awardees and their nominees.

Taking place at Chris Parvin‘s state-of-the-art mansion in Old Highland Park, Bernbaum/Magadini Architects’ Bruce Bernbaum told the invite-only crowd of art heavy hitters like Dallas Museum of Art Directors Agustín Arteaga, Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Michelle Miller Burns, Dallas Winds’ Kim Campbell and BCA ‘s first couple Nancy Nasher and David Haemisegger that the site had been the place where O’Neil Ford’s amazing Penson House had once stood. But Bruce quickly added that neither he nor Chris had had any hand in its demise.

Instead, they had used the grounds to build a 21st century contemporary atop the hill to mark the spot with its interior walls designed to provide a setting for artwork.

But in addition to Luncheon Chair Courtney Johnson recognizing the 2024 Obelisk Awardees and their nominees, BCA CEO Stacie Adams reported that just four tables was left for the annual fundraiser luncheon presented by Capital One on Thursday, November 14.

Suggestion: Wait no longer to be part of the Obelisk celebration. Grab one of those final four tables before it’s too late.
