According to 2014 Cattle Baron’s Ball Co-Chairs Cindy Stager and Jill Tananbaum,
“The 41st annual Cattle Baron’s Ball, the first one ever intentionally scheduled for an indoor venue, is just a little more than two months away-and the details are becoming an intense focus for the 100 committee members who are toiling away for the world’s largest single-night fund-raising event for the American Cancer Society. It is anticipated the ball will reach sold-out status by the end of August!
“Gilley’s was chosen to house the 2014 Cattle Baron’s Ball, Country Rocks, because it allows us to create the separate spaces that make the ball unique-silent auction, live auction stage, gaming, raffle, food stations and the concert. Gilley’s in-house caterer of choice, G Texas Custom Catering, is planning an incredible variety of fare to satisfy everyone’s taste. To make this in-town site accessible, we are working closely with the city of Dallas to create multi-lane, one direction access on Lamar Street.
“For VIP Baron’s, the top donors, the evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail reception and entertainment by country and western crooner Sam Moore. The fun continues in the American Airlines Silent Auction venue with DJ Brandon Olds at 7:00 p.m. for everyone. Weather permitting, guests can ride the MetroPCS Ferris wheel just outside of the Sporting and Gaming Lounge. Texas’ own trio, Mockingbird Sun, will bring down home music to the cocktail hour.
“The renowned Live Auction begins at 8:15 p.m. with auctioneer Louis Murad encouraging guests to bid big for cancer research. Once that bit of major fund-raising is done, everyone will move to the Andrews Distributing Main Stage Tent where Kenny Chesney will perform around 10:00 p.m. NBC5 TODAY Anchor Deborah Ferguson, Cattle Baron’s Mistress of Ceremonies, will keep things moving.
“At midnight, the After Party moves inside Gilley’s for more fun and dancing to Studio 54 Band. G Texas Custom Catering will offer late-night breakfast to keep guests and the party going.
“Last, but not least, the much-anticipated Inwood National Bank favor bag (gotta have your ticket to claim it) will be available with lots of cool loot to remind of you the incredible effort and dedication that went into making Country Rocks a success.
